Sony Pictures has revealed the first trailer (watch above) for ‘Don't Breathe 2,’ one of the most awaited horror-thriller sequel of 2016 movie of the same name. Stephen Lang is reprising his role as Norman Nordstrom/"The Blind Man" in this movie which will be available to watch in theaters on August 13, 2021.


Directed by Rodo Sayagues, who has co-written the script with Fede Alvarez, the sequel also has similar action and violent premise. The story follows the Blind Man, who has been hiding out for several years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a disastrous house fire. When the girl is kidnapped by a gang of criminals, the Blind Man is forced to leave his safe haven in order to save her.


Fede Alvarez, Sam Raimi, Rodo Sayagues, Rob Tapert are the producers with Rick Jacobson as executive producer.


In November 2016, Álvarez announced that a sequel was in the works. "It's only the greatest idea for a sequel I've ever heard," producer Sam Raimi was quoted as saying. "I am not joking." Later, in Nov. 2018, Álvarez also said "They're just ideas right now. Nothing to announce officially. We do have a script ready for the Don't Breathe sequel."


The filming for the movie began on August 7, 2020, in Belgrade, Serbia, with Pedro Luque serving as cinematographer, returning from the previous film. Actor Stephen Lang revealed that filming wrapped on October 8, 2020. Production was supposed to begin a lot earlier in April 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


The film also stars Brendan Sexton III, Bobby Schofield as Jared, Rocci Williams as Duke, Stephanie Arcila as Hernandez, Diaana Babnicova as Billy, Adam Young as Jim Bob, and Christian Zagia as Raul.


Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films in association with Ghost House Pictures, a Bad Hombre production are the production companies with Sony being the international distributor.
