Lionsgate has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming action-thriller ‘EXPEND4BLES,’ the fourth film in the franchise led by Sylvester Stallone. The eagerly-awaited action-thriller "The Expendables 4" is set to hit theaters on September 22, 2023.
The fourth installment in the franchise sees Sylvester Stallone return as Barney Ross, but with a smaller role in the film. Instead, Jason Statham takes center stage as the lead character, Lee Christmas. The movie features an ensemble cast that includes new faces like Megan Fox, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Andy Garcia, Levy Tran, and Jacob Scipio, as well as returning actors Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture. However, Terry Crews, Jet Li, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are not returning to leading roles.
In Expend4bles, a new generation of stars joins the world's biggest action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure. The Expendables are the world's final line of defense and the team that gets called when all other alternatives are exhausted. They are armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the ability to wield them. Different team members with different styles and tactics, on the other hand, will give "new blood" a whole new meaning.
The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh and based on an original story by Spenser Cohen, with Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly serving as co-scriptwriters. The film is expected to begin a new trilogy for the franchise.
Fans of the franchise will undoubtedly be excited to see their favorite characters back on the big screen and to witness the new additions to the cast. The first footage was already shown exclusively at CinemaCon 2022. The release of "The Expendables 4" is sure to be a major event in the world of action movies, and fans can hardly wait to see what the film has in store for them.
