Netflix has revealed the premiere date and first-look images of “Gentefied” season 2. The eight-episode second season of the comedy-drama series will return on Netflix on November 10

The series began production on the second season in February and wrapped up by the end of May.

“Gentefied” stars Karrie Martin, JJ Soria, Carlos Santos, Annie Gonzalez, Julissa Calderon, Bianca Melgar, Alejandro Patiño and Joaquín Cosio. Joining the second season are Manuel Uriza, Ivana Rojas, Melinna Bobadilla, and Clarissa Thibeaux.

Season 2 begins up immediately after the heartbreaking finale of the first season, which saw Erik Morales and his fiancée Lidia welcome their baby, Delfina. When Erik notices that his grandfather Pops is missing from the hospital celebration, it is revealed that he has been detained on an outstanding warrant and that his beloved pick-up truck has been seized.

Erik and his cousin Chris' (Carlos Santos) effort to keep Pops in the country while dealing with new love, new babies, estranged fathers, and tracking down Bad Bunny at a Halloween party will be the focus of the second season. They'll struggle to survive, but along the way, they'll wonder where they belong in a world of borders, family separation, and the possibility of losing their beloved taco store, Mama Fina's.

Below are the first-look images revealed today.

Season 1 of "Gentefied" premiered in February 2020, and the series was picked up for season 2 in May 2020 after receiving a lot of positive feedback and reviews for its debut season, and it was lauded across the critics, notably Joaqun Cosio's performance.

Created by Chicano first-gen writers Marvin Lemus and Linda Chávez, Gentefied is a half-hour dramatic comedy adapted from the 2017 Sundance digital series of the same name. Gentefied follows three Mexican-American cousins who struggle to chase the American Dream while that same dream threatens the things they value most: their neighborhood, their immigrant grandfather, and the family taco shop.
