Amazon's action series “Hanna” has officially started filming for season 3 in the chilly weather of Europe. The series star Áine Rose Daly posted a story on her Instagram profile confirming the start of filming.
Fans were expecting a new season later this year, but seeing the schedule of filming and production, it is very unlikely that a new season will premiere this year.
Earlier, Amazon studios confirmed the return of super ninja girl Hanna to expose Utrax, after it was renewed for season 3, just ten days after the second season premiere on July 3, 2020. The series based on the Joe Wright 2011 film.
The series follows the journey of an extraordinary young woman played by Esmé Creed-Miles, who is on the run from a sinister government agency and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.
David Farr, who co-wrote the original feature, will continue to write and executive produce going into season 3.
“Hanna” also stars Yasmin Monet Prince, Dermot Mulroney, Anthony Welsh, Áine Rose Daly, and Gianna Kiehl.
At the end of the first season, Hanna found out she is not the only young woman with skills like hers that came out of the Utrax program. In the latest season, she risks her freedom to rescue her friend Clara (Yasmin Monet Prince) from the Utrax program at their new facility, The Meadows which is run by John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) and his right-hand man Leo Garner (Anthony Welsh). Hanna finds help in the unlikely form of her previous nemesis, CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos), who must protect both herself and Hanna from the ruthless organization she once trusted.
