Hasan Minhaj Calls Out the Bystanders Who Are Silently Supporting Racism

In the latest episode of Patriot Act on Netflix, Hasan Minhaj called out those who are silently supporting racism in their day to day life. Minhaj took the images of George Flyod's murder when the police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on Floyd's neck and said "We should not just see the part where Flyod is kneeled but also the full picture as Derek Chauvin was not the only cop who was kneeling George but there were other bystanders like the cop who was stopping several people standing there and the shop owner who called the police for such a small matter, they were all being racist in a way." He then says "I am not saying we all are the killers but we should be the one to make sure the justice is delivered and laws are amended so that it never happens again"

 

Hasan analysed the images and called the shop owner to be hypocrite, as being from arab islamic country he should know the pain of being oppressed. He says "Migrants coming out from Asia should not only come here to enjoy America's excellence but should also be ready to own its failures"

Minhaj also took a potshot on indian/pakistani culture where a black man is called as "Kallu" and is treated unequal than a fair looking person. He also called out the bollywood celeberities for their hypocrisy who promote fair skin beauty creams. He says "they should pull out from these ads first than talk about Black people."

In this episode, he names all the people who have recently died in US just because their skin color was black.
