Netflix has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming English-German horror film, ‘Bloody Red Sky.’ Directed by Peter Thorwarth and written by Stefan Holtz and Thorwarth, the film will arrive on Netflix on July 23, worldwide.

The film follows a mysteriously ill woman Nadja and her 10-year-old son as they travel from Germany to New York on an overnight trip when a bunch of terrorists violently take control of the plane and threaten the passengers' lives. Nadja is forced to make a difficult decision: should she unveil her dark side and the hidden monster she has kept secret from her kid for years in order to save him?

The production of the movie was interrupted after the start last year due to the COVID pandemic, but after few months, it resumed and was completed before the deadline.

The two-hour-long film has a very experienced cast. Najda will be played by Peri Baumeister who is known for her role in The Last Kingdom, Graham McTavish (Outlander, The Witcher, and House of the Dragon) will be playing Col. Alan Drummond, Rebecca Dyson-Smith as Sergeant Karen Brow, Chidi Ajufo as Curtiz and Dominic Purcell as Berg. The cast also includes Sinead Phelps, Leonie Brill, Alexander Scheer, Roy McCrerey, and Kais Setti.

Christian Becker and Benjamin Munz have produced this movie for Rat Pack Filmproduktion and Sirena Film.
