Amazon has revealed the first teaser trailer and premiere date of the second season of the action-thriller series ‘Hunters,’ which is also confirmed to be its final season. ‘Hunters’ Season 2 will release on January 13, 2023, on Prime Video.
The second season is set in 1979, two years after the first season, the dictator - Adolf Hitler, played by German actor Udo Kier, will have a growing presence on the show as the titular band of hunters scour the globe to wipe him out once and for all. In Season 2, After an accident derails their activities in Europe, the Hunters must reassemble to track down history's most infamous Nazi, Adolf Hitler, who is hiding in South America. Meanwhile, a flashback shows Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino) facing a perilous threat that could unravel his secret and reveal his true identity, with devastating ramifications for our Hunters.
In celebration of the farewell season, Chutzpah: Hunters Presents True Stories of Resistance, a six-episode related podcast series, will also be released by Hunters. The new podcast, which premiered its first three episodes on December 13, spotlights incredible genuine stories of heroism, resistance, and sacrifice throughout the Holocaust. The final three episodes will be released on January 3. Jordan Peele executive produces the podcast, which is produced by Prime Video, Monkeypaw Productions, and Story Mill Media, and will be hosted by series creator David Weil.
Al Pacino returns for the epic conclusion of Hunters, alongside previously announced new series regular Jennifer Jason Leigh and returning series stars Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Carol Kane, Lena Olin, Josh Radnor, Tiffany Boone, Louis Ozawa, Kate Mulvany, and Greg Austin.
Set in an alternate history where Hitler is alive, “Hunters” follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the United States. The first season starred Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker, and Lena Olin.
The series is created by David Weil, who also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner along with Nikki Toscano. Jordan Peele executive produces along with Win Rosenfeld under their Monkeypaw Productions banner. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon directed the pilot episode and is also an executive producer. Nelson McCormick executive produces along with Sonar Entertainment’s David Ellender. Amazon Studios is the production company behind the series along with Monkeypaw and Sonar.
