Indian actor and Bollywood star, Dhanush is one of the latest additions to the Netflix highest ever 200 million dollars budget action-thriller “The Gray Man.” Dhanush along with Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, and Julia Butters will join the previously announced Ana De Armas, Ryan Gosling, and Chris Evans.

Dhanush has appeared in a good number of Bollywood and Tamil films which include Raanjhanaa and Asuran. He has also appeared as a leading character in 2018's English film "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir" opposite The Boys star Erin Moriarty.

Jessica Henwick has done significant roles in series like Game of Thrones and Iron Fist. Recently she appeared in the post-apocalyptic action-adventure ‘Love and Monsters’. She can be seen next in Matrix 4, landing the coveted female lead in the latest installment opposite Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Keanu Reeves, and Carrie Ann-Moss.

Moura is best known for his scene-stealing role as real-life drug cartel boss Pablo Escobar in the first two seasons of Narcos, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He was most recently seen in the Netflix thriller Sergio.

This is Julia Butters's first big role after stealing nearly every scene she was in opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The Russo’s AGBO is producing, and the script is written by Joe Russo, with a polish by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who scripted the Russo-directed Captain America and Avengers films and who are Co-Presidents of Story at AGBO. It is based on the 2009 Mark Greaney novel published in 2009 by Jove Books that introduced the Gray Man, a freelance assassin and former CIA operative named Court Gentry.

The action-thriller is a deadly duel between killers as Gentry (Gosling) is hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort of Gentry at the CIA. The Gray Man turned into a bestselling book series, and the expectation is that Gosling will continue in multiple installments. The project was developed years back at New Regency as a Brad Pitt/James Gray vehicle, but it stalled. The Russos have quietly been developing it for years.

The film will be produced by AGBO’s the Russo Brothers and Mike Larocca, along with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum. They are eyeing a January start date in Los Angeles with international locations being finalized.
