Keanu Reeves is Batman in the New Trailer as ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ Seems to be Delayed Again

Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed a new trailer for its upcoming animated movie “DC League of Super-Pets,” which features Keanu Reeves' voice for Batman. Starring Dwayne Johnson as the voice of Krypto the Super-Dog, the animated action-adventure movie is currently scheduled to release in theaters in Summer 2022 (Earlier, it was May 20, 2022).

The latest trailer which focuses on Batman and Ace shows that the film will release this Summer and doesn't mention any date. There is a big chance that the film is probably getting postponed once again. The Summer begins in June, so if the trailer and its description are true then we might see a delay in the film.

Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends in "DC League of Super-Pets," sharing the same superpowers and resisting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnaped, Krypto must convince a motley crew of shelter animals—Ace the hound, PB the chubby pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to embrace their newfound abilities and assist him in rescuing the superheroes.

Directed by Jared Stern, the film also stars the voices of Kevin Hart as Ace, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski as Superman, Vanessa Bayer as PB, Natasha Lyonne as Merton, Diego Luna as Chip, Marc Maron as Lex Luthor, Thomas Middleditch, Jameela Jamil, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves.

Jared Stern makes his animated feature film directorial debut, directing from a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborator John Whittington, based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster for DC, Superman. Patricia Hicks,  Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, and Jared Stern are producing the movie. John Requa, Nicholas Stoller, Glenn Ficarra, Allison Abbate, Sharon Taylor, Chris Leahy, and Courtenay Valenti serve as executive producers.

Stern’s creative team includes production designer Kim Taylor and editors David Egan (“Game Night,” “Vacation”) and Jhoanne Reyes (“Teen Titans GO!” “Young Justice”). The music is by Steve Jablonsky (the “Transformers” films).

Warner Bros. Pictures Presents A Seven Bucks Production, “DC League of Super-Pets.” The film will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters internationally beginning 18 May 2022 and in North America on May 20, 2022.
