One of the biggest hit of 2020, ‘Love and Monsters’ is heading towards Netflix in April 2021. Though there were not many releases in 2020, this film was liked by a good number of audience. The comedy-fantasy arrived on VOD on October, 16 in the U.S. and was praised by several critics for its fun-filled adventure.

However, Netflix has only been able to acquire the rights for the film outside the US. It will be available to watch on Netflix except for US users, in April 2021. In the US, we can reportedly confirm that post-apocalyptic film will be available on the upcoming streaming platform Paramount+ after its launch early next year.

The action-packed adventure is set seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien), along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over the radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there’s nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way.

The fun-filled and action-packed adventure stars Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Michael Rooker, and Ariana Greenblatt.

Michael Matthews directed the picture, having come off his feature debut, the 2017 South African western-style thriller, Five Fingers for Marseilles. He worked off a screenplay by Brian Duffield (Insurgent) and Matthew Robinson (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), based on a story by Duffield.

Below is the trailer for the film:
