Two months before the film hit the theaters, Paramount Pictures officially revealed another trailer for ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,’ while also revealing the plot details. The seventh installment of the billion-dollar franchise will begin its mission in theaters on July 14, 2023.
Tom Cruise highlights the trailer with a bike stunt as he jumps and flies from a cliff on a bike. The trailer begins with a voice-over that says, "Our lives are the sum of our choices and we cannot escape the past," as Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt can be seen running past many places. The trailer moves and reveals some new footage along with scenes that were included in the previous trailer. The trailer gives us a new look at the characters played by Esai Morales and Hayley Atwell, while also showing Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson.
In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous assignment yet - to find a frightening new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the hands of the wrong people. With the fate of the world at stake and sinister forces from Ethan's past closing in, a deadly race around the world starts. When confronted with a mysterious, all-powerful adversary, Ethan is forced to ponder that nothing is more important than his purpose - not even the lives of the people he loves the most.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film also stars Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Hayley Atwell as Grace, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, and Frederick Schmidt as Zola Mitsopolis - all of them are returning from the previous film. Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Cary Elwes, Esai Morales, Lampros Kalfuntzos, and Greg Tarzan Davis are the new faces that will appear in this film. Esai Morales will be the lead villain in MI7. Dead Reckoning Part One is the first sequel to bring back Eugene Kittridge, the director of the IMF in the 1996 film.
The film went through multiple delays due to production-related issues. It was earlier supposed to be released in September last year. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two is currently scheduled to release on June 28, 2024.
