Money Trap: The Karun Treasure is a combination of crime, comedy, elaborate cons, and a race for legendary wealth. The story begins when a mysterious map connected to the Karun treasure falls into Asim Noyan’s hands. He has spent years making money through carefully planned deceptions. This makes him believe that the treasure is an opportunity to get money he cannot ignore. Hoping to pull off one final job before finally giving up his criminal past, he reunites with his gang and begins to put a plan together. However, the operation quickly becomes more complicated as his rival criminals and internal treasure hunters enter the scene with a firm determination to claim the fortune before he does. What started off as a straightforward treasure hunt gradually develops into a contest of manipulation with loyalties shifting and interests changing. Nobody here is fully trustworthy, and there is betrayal at every step of the plan.

Through the eight episodes, fun is guaranteed. While the plot doesn’t have a lot of depth in it, what matters is that the entire execution is filled with laughter. The runtime isn’t very long either, so you won't feel that the plot is being stretched for no reason. Additionally, there are many twists and turns all through the runtime that will keep you hooked on Money Trap: The Karun Treasure.

The only issue is that everything feels predictable. While there is no doubt that it is fun to watch, sometimes the overall plot feels too predictable to watch. It is like those clichés that you have seen many times in comedy genre plots. That can be a breaking point for watching Money Trap: The Karun Treasure because at this point we all expect new stuff when it comes to movies and TV shows.

Other than that, even the pacing is an issue. The makers did ensure that beyond a certain point they didn’t stretch the plot by adding more episodes. However, the issue is that the overall speed at which the plot moves is so slow that it will test patience as a whole. Everything feels awfully slow, and that will leave you not wanting to watch Money Trap: The Karun Treasure.

The acting by the cast is a big saving grace. Yılmaz Erdoğan as Asım Noyan is a great watch. His comic timing and his overall acting are fantastic when you watch the show. He is funny and charming. He does full justice to the character he has been given the chance to portray. Even the supporting cast of Money Trap: The Karun Treasure is worth watching. They support the overall development of the plot and make sure that they remain one of the main reasons to watch the show. So all in all, these eight episodes can be watched if you are someone who likes watching a genre like this. If you aren’t a fan, then perhaps this can be skipped.

Final Score- [6/10]
