Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the Polish-language series, Hold Tight. Based on the novel by Harlan Coben, Hold Tight will release on April 22 on Netflix, worldwide.
The mystery-thriller series takes place in a wealthy housing estate where the locals live a peaceful life with close relationships. Everything changes when Adam, 18, vanishes without a trace. The danger rises quickly, and concerned parents do everything they can to safeguard their children, who are approaching adulthood and have opted to take matters into their own hands.
Hold Tight is a fast-paced, twist-filled thriller that, while not a sequel to the previous Polish adaptation of Harlan Coben, The Woods, will follow the fate of various characters from Harlan Coben's first screen adaptation. Magdalena Boczarska and Leszek Lichota are playing the main roles of a happy married couple, Anna and Michał Barczyk. Krzysztof Oleksyn is playing their son, Adam.
Agnieszka Grochowska and Grzegorz Damięcki, known from The Woods, have also returned to their roles of Laura and Pawel, respectively. The series also features Jacek Poniedziałek, Justyna Wasilewska, Wiktoria Gorodeckaja, and Bartłomiej Topa. Agata Łabno, Marta Piętka, Jakub Pruski and Mikołaj Śliwa are also part of this series.
Michał Gazda and Bartosz Konopka have directed the series based on a script written by Agata Malesińska and Wojtek Miłoszewski. ATM Group has handled the production.
"I'm extremely excited to be working with Netflix and these brilliant Polish creators again. I hope Hold Tight's twists and turns fascinate viewers in Poland and around the world, and I am thrilled that they will not only meet the new characters, Magdalena and Leszek, but will also learn what happened to Laura and Pawel after The Woods," said Harlan Coben.
