Netflix has revealed the first trailer (watch above) and premiere date for ‘Narcos: Mexico’ Season 3. The streamer also announced that the third season will be also the final season and will premiere on November 5.
Although Diego Luna is not part of the third and final season, the trailer shows a glimpse of his character Félix Gallardo in a prison talking to a visitor.
‘Narcos: Mexico' is a crime drama set in Mexico. Season 3 is set in the 1990s, at the height of the globalization of the drug trade. It investigates the war that erupts following the imprisonment of Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna). A new generation of Mexican kingpins emerges as newly independent gangs fight to survive political instability and growing bloodshed. However, in this fight, truth is the first casualty — and every arrest, murder, and take-down simply push ultimate victory further away.
Diego Luna, who portrayed drug cartel leader Félix Gallardo is not part of the third season. Returning cast includes Scoot McNairy, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher José María Yázpik, Alfonso Dosal, Gorka Lasaosa, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda.
The new addition to the cast are - Martinez Ocasio as Arturo, Luis Gerardo Méndez as Victor Tapi, Alberto Guerra as Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, and Luisa Rubino as Andrea Nuñez.
Series co-creator Carlo Bernard is the new showrunner replacing Eric Newman. However, Newman continued as an executive producer on the series alongside Bernard, Jose Padilha, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan, Eugene Stein, Alexandra Hunter, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Doug Miro, and Andrés Baiz.
