We reported in June that, season 2 date reveal would happen during the Geeked week, but due to some unknown reason, it didn't happen. So, we connected with our source to get the premiere date, and he revealed to us the December release date for season 2.

Returning cast for season 2 includes Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Chalotra, while new cast members include Adjoa Andoh as Nenneke, Cassie Clare as Phillippa Eilhart, Liz Carr as Fenn, Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian, Simon Callow as Codringher, Chris Fulton as Rience.

Netflix has already revealed the logline for the second season which says “Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

“The Witcher” was a big hit on Netflix with some 76 million-member homes watching the first season. Based on the bestselling book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, Henry Cavill stars in the series, which has previously been adapted into a hit video game franchise.
