Netflix ‘Outer Banks’ is the Most Binge-Worthy Show of 2020 at PCAs

The “Pogues” may not have got their gold in season 1 of the “Outer Banks,” but their treasure hunt has definitely made the people hooked. “Outer Banks,” whose season 1 premiered back in April 2020, has won the award for the most Bingeworthy Show of 2020. However, it was not an easy ride for the show as it was competing with popular shows like Schitt's Creek, Ozark, and Tiger King.

No one from the shows' cast was available at the stage, but they do give their message through a small video clip. Chase Stokes who plays John B thanked fans for voting it the most binge-worthy show in a video where he was joined by Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, and others. Stokes also tweeted out the video saying "Hey we did a thing check it out."

“Outer Banks” turned out to be the winner from the category where other nominations were - Cheer, Love Is Blind, Never Have I Ever, Normal People, Outer Banks, Ozark, Schitt's Creek, and Tiger King.

Among the other Netflix winners, “Never Have I Ever” won the best comedy show and “The Kissing Booth 2,” and Joey King won the best comedy movie and comedy movie star of 2020 respectively. Chris Hemsworth won the action movie star of 2020 for Extraction.

“Outer Banks” was renewed for Season 2 back in July. In season 1, the close-knit group of friends discovers a sunken boat that leads them on a hunt for their ringleader’s missing father and a treasure hunt for $400 million in gold.

The show stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten.

If you are new to this or hearing it for the first time, Outer Banks is a coming of age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens (aka the Pogues) in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When a hurricane kills the power for the summer season, it sets off a chain of illicit events that force the friends to make life-altering decisions.
