The third season of “Never Have I Ever” has officially wrapped up filming this Monday in Malibu, CA. Series star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, and Utkarsh Ambudkar confirmed season 3 production wrap via their Insta Stories and Posts.

The cast of the series thanked everyone who watched the showing which made it possible for Netflix to produce the third season. ‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 3 is likely to release in June 2022.

9-1-1 star Anirudh Pisharody is the only new face to be announced as part of Season 3. He plays Des, an Indian American teen who goes to an elite private school and is as smart as Devi. Des seems to be one of Devi's relatives previously teased by creator Lang Fisher in an interview, where she also confirmed that Devi's Granny Nirmala will be regular and more of Devi's relatives will be shown in Season 3.

"Nirmala, as well as the rest of Devi's family, will play an important part in the future," said Lang Fisher in an interview. "She introduced this whole new dimension and filled a small part of the emptiness left by Mohan. I'd like to see her family's new dynamics now.

Season 2 of “Never Have I Ever” premiered on July 15 and it was officially renewed for Season 3 a month later on August 19. Season 2 was all about Devi's struggle to manage two boyfriends and choose the best one. Devi finally lost both boys, but she was able to mend her relationship with Paxton just in time for the school's winter dance.

By the end of the second season, Devi and Paxton had begun to mend their relationship, but they still had a long way to go before they'll be in a fully committed and happy relationship. Season 3 is anticipated to go more into their connection, particularly the hardships they'll both confront.

Season 2 cast included Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez, Jaren Lewison, Ramona Young, Utkarsh Ambudkar,  Megan Suri, Tyler Alvarez, and P.J. Byrne. The second season cast also includes the voice of John McEnroe and Gigi Hadid as Narrators. All are coming back for season 3 as well.

Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, "Never Have I Ever" is a coming-of-age comedy-drama about the life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl Devi Vishwakumar.
