The CW's sci-fi and romantic drama series, "Roswell, New Mexico" has begun filming on the fourth season, today in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Filming will take place from August 2021 through January 2022. The CW renewed the series for a fourth season in February 2021, ahead of its third season, which premiered on July 26, 2021.

The show will also film in Las Vegas, Espanola, Moriarty, Santa Fe, Bernalillo, Pecos, and the San Felipe and Santo Domingo pueblos in New Mexico.

Roswell, New Mexico has become one of those archetypal New Mexico projects. The television series not only puts the state’s name out there but also captures the stunning landscapes our state offers, employs thousands of New Mexicans, and sources thousands of dollars of goods and services from local businesses, in addition, to creating a mutual fandom. Local small businesses are hosting watch parties, and the show’s leading talent has become the state’s biggest fans. We are thrilled for season 4!” said Amber Dodson, Director, New Mexico Film Office.

The show's stars include Jeanine Mason as Liz Ortecho, Michael Vlamis as Michael Guerin, Nathan Dean Parsons as Max Evans, Tyler Blackburn as Alex Manes, Karan Oberoi as Noah Bracken, Lily Cowles as Isobel Evans, Michael Trevino as Kyle Valenti, Heather Hemmens as Maria DeLuca, Trevor St. John as Jesse Manes, and Amber Midthunder as Rosa Ortecho.

Roswell, New Mexico is from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios, in association with Amblin Television and Bender Brown Productions with executive producers Christopher Hollier (Once Upon a Time), Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries), Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, Lawrence Bender and Kevin Kelly Brown (Roswell).

As we embark on our fourth season, New Mexico has become a critical character of the show,” said Chris Hollier,  executive producer of Roswell, New Mexico. “We are fortunate to have a great local crew, stunning locations, and the support of the New Mexico Film Office.”

Roswell, New Mexico is based on the Roswell High book series, written by Melinda Metz.

The daughter of undocumented immigrants uncovers a stunning reality about her teenage crush, who is now a police officer, after returning to her hometown of Roswell, New Mexico: He's an alien who has spent his entire life concealing his extraterrestrial powers. As the two reunite and begin to study his origins, she guards his secret. However, when a violent attack and a long-standing government cover-up point to a larger alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and end their blossoming romance.

‘Roswell, New Mexico’ is available to watch on The CW in the US and HBO MAX, Prime Video, and Netflix in selected territories.
