Netflix has revealed the first trailer (watch above) for the upcoming superhero sci-fi series ‘Jupiter’s Legacy.’ The series adaptation of the popular graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely will premiere on May 7 on Netflix worldwide.


A multi-generational American superhero epic, Jupiter’s Legacy follows the world’s first generation of superheroes who received their powers in the 1930s. After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world's first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents' legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards. They're the first generation of superheroes, but as they pass the torch to their children, tensions are rising — and the old rules no longer apply.


Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter's Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty. Sang Kyu Kim serves as showrunner and executive producer for the series. Millar, James Middleton, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Dan McDermott, and Frank Quitely also serve as executive producers.


Starring Josh Duhamel (Transformers; Transformers: The Last Knight) as Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian; Ben Daniels (The Crown; The Exorcist; Flesh and Bone) as Walter Sampson/Brain-Wave, Sheldon’s older brother; Leslie Bibb (Tag; GCB; Iron Man) as Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty; and Elena Kampouris (Sacred Lies; upcoming Shoplifters of the World and Summer Night) and Andrew Horton (Doctors; How to Talk to Girls at Parties) as Sheldon and Grace’s children Chloe and Brandon. Also, Mike Wade (Timeless, NCIS, For the People) will play Fitz Small and Matt Lanter (Pitch Perfect 3; Timeless; 90210) is George Hutchence, the eight-episode series is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty.’
