Looks like the war between werewolves and practitioners of dark magic is over as Netflix's supernatural, horror and fantasy series “The Order” is not coming back for its third season. Now, it has become another series in the long list of canceled shows at Netflix this year. The second season which premiered back on June 18 this year, seems like, was not able to generate as much enthusiasm in the fans as the first season did.

Dennis Heaton, the creator, and showrunner of the series announced via Twitter, “For two seasons I was honored to work with an incredible cast and crew on The Order for Netflix. It is one of the best experiences of my career. Unfortunately, we aren't returning, but I will always cherish the memories and the props I stole. Thank you all for watching.”

The first season of the series arrived in March 2019 and was liked by many. It followed a college student, Jack Morton, who joins a secret society and begins to practice magic. But, as Jack becomes more enveloped in the organization, he discovers dark secrets.

In the second season, the Knights struggle to regain their memories stolen from them by The Order… and they crave retribution. But vengeance is hard to plan when you’re also fighting murderous magicians, strange new cults, and life-threatening demons.

And what could have happened in the third season was hinted at by Heaton in his Friday night announcement, “PS - Jack was totally going to raise Alyssa from the dead, but she was going to come back wrong. Like, Pet Sematary wrong. Probably possessed by Zecchia. And a whole bunch of other corpses were coming back with her.

The Order was produced by Canadian production company Nomadic Pictures, starred Jake Manley as Jack and Sarah Grey as Alyssa. Nomadic’s Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev executive produced along with David Von Ancken.
