Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the horror movie, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” The film which is a direct sequel to the 1974 movie The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will release on February 18 on Netflix.
The trailer sees the return of the iconic killer Leatherface, who can be seen hunting teenagers and tourists coming to visit the Ghost Town. Also, Leatherface looks a lot scarier than the previous 2013 film.
The spiritual sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre takes place 47 years after the events of the first film. Ruth is a 25-year-old San Francisco businesswoman who brings her younger teenage sister with her on a business trip to Texas because she is afraid of leaving her alone in the city. Lila, the younger sister, is a wheelchair-bound amateur photographer, and it's not long until they're struggling for their life against a 60-year-old Leatherface.
Based on characters created by Kim Henkel and Tobe Hooper, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” stars Elsie Fisher opposite Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, Moe Dunford, Jacob Latimore, Jessica Allain, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, and Nell Hudson. John Larroquette, the narrator of the 1974 original and the 2003 remake, returns to the franchise in the same role.
The film is directed by David Blue Garcia from a script by Chris Thomas Devlin and produced by “Evil Dead” and “Don’t Breathe” filmmaker Fede Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues, who wrote “Don’t Breathe” and the “Evil Dead” movies and made his directorial debut with last year’s “Don’t Breathe 2.”
