2023 was indeed a great year for sci-fi shows where we got to see new shows like Silo, Bodies, Moving, Black Knight, The Last of Us, Gen V, Beacon 23, Ahsoka, Monarch, and returning shows like Foundation Season 2, Invasion Season 2, For All Mankind Season 4, From Season 2, Quantum Leap, Upload, and many more. 2024 is also going to be no different in terms of the quantity of new and returning shows, but can they beat the quality of the shows released last year?
The Boys Season 4 is one of the most anticipated returning shows of 2024 along with the second part of Invincible Season 2, Halo Season 2, Apple TV's Severance Season 2, and Netflix's Arcane Season 2. Based on the novel of the same name by Blake Crouch, who also serves as showrunner, Dark Matter is an upcoming sci-fi series that is set to release later in 2024 on Apple TV+. The show has already completed filming as per the update in May 2023.

The Dune franchise needs no introduction. The success of the first film in the latest reboot directed by Denis Villeneuve, led to the greenlight of this new series set in the Dune universe. Created by Frank Herbert, the upcoming sci-fi series recently concluded production. As per the press release by HBO, Dune: Prophecy will be released in late 2024 on MAX.
