The Trial of Chicago 7 follows a group of anti-war protestors, who were accused of starting a riot in the 1968 democratic convention in the US.

Based on a true story, the movie follows the protestors and their trial in Chicago as they were accused of starting a riot.
The narrative of the film is very powerful, it is one of those unknown tales of rebel many people won’t know about. Such films are always inspiring and a great thing to watch.

The courtroom drama has a powerful screenplay and a terrific cast. Joseph Gordon Levitt plays the prosecutor here, and the other cast members who play Abbie Hoffman, Tom Hayden are also very good at their skill.

The film is made by Aaron Sorkin, he does a great job in telling the story to the audience, and even in the most serious situations, he adds humorous scenes and makes it great on its own.

This film reminded me a lot of When They See Us as it dealt with the concept of injustice as well.

It was a great watch for me and the entire 2 hours runtime is worth watching. It is one of those 1000 tales that we never heard of, but the filmmakers bring it to the spotlight on a global platform like Netflix.

Final Score – [9/10]
