Amazon has revealed the first trailer for the second season of its Island mystery drama, The Wilds. All eight episodes of the mystery-adventure series will release on May 6, 2022, on Prime Video, worldwide.

The trailer teases the girls' even higher stakes as they remain trapped on this mysterious island, as well as the first look at what has always been a part of the experiment: the boys.

Season two of The Wilds will continue to follow the harrowing ordeal of a group of teenage girls stranded on a remote island, and they weren't there by chance—they've been secretly selected for an extensive social experiment. The new season ups the ante by revealing that the girls aren't the only ones being watched... There's a new set of participants, an island of teenage guys who must also struggle for survival while the experiment's puppet master keeps a close eye on them.

The second season will see some new faces in the wild. Alex Fitzalan as Seth Novak, Aidan Laprete as Henry Tanaka, Charles Alexander as Kirin O'Conner, Miles Gutierrez-Riley as Ivan Taylor, Tanner Ray Rook as Bo Leonard, Nicholas Coombe as Josh Herbert, Reed Shannon as Scotty Simms, and Zack Calderon as Rafael Garcia has joined the Girls.

The returning cast from the first season includes Sophia Taylor Ali as Fatin Jadmani, Rachel Griffiths as Gretchen Klein, Helena Howard as Nora Reid, Reign Edwards as Rachel Reid,  Shannon Berry as Dot Campbell, Erana James as Toni Shalifoe, David Sullivan as Daniel Faber, Troy Winbush as Dean Young, Jenna Clause as Martha Blackburn, and Mia Healey as Shelby Goodkind.

Sarah Streicher created, and executive produced The Wilds, together with showrunner and executive producer Amy Harris. Executive producers include the late Jamie Tarses of FanFare and Dylan Clark of Dylan Clark Productions. Amazon Studios and ABC Signature, a division of Disney Television Studios, collaborated on the series.
