‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Coming to Disney+ in September 2022

Marvel has revealed the Disney+ release date for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ which will arrive on Disney+ day. ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ will release on September 8, 2022, on Disney+, worldwide.

In addition to the movie, a behind-the-scenes look with ASSEMBLED: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder arriving that day as well. 

In ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ Thor (Chris Hemsworth) embarks on a journey unlike any he's ever undertaken: a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement is cut short by a galactic assassin known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who desires the annihilation of the gods. To counter the menace, Thor enlists the assistance of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). He, to Thor's amazement, wields his mystical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. They embark on a dangerous cosmic adventure together to solve the secret of the God Butcher's vengeance and stop him before it's too late.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" also stars Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, the main villain in the film, Russell Crowe in the role of Zeus, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Matt Damon as Actor Loki, Akosia Sabet as Bastet God, Melissa McCarthy as Actor Hela, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, and Simon Russell Beale.

Deities introduced in the film include Simon Russell Beale as the Olympian god Dionysus, Jonathan Brugh as the god Rapu, Akosia Sabet as the goddess Bast, and Carmen Foon as the Roman goddess Minerva. Stephen Curry plays Yakan, the ruler of the planet Indigarr, Kieron L. Dyer portrays Axl, Heimdall's son, Hemsworth's daughter India plays Love, Gorr's daughter, and Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky cameos as the wolf woman. Brett Goldstein appears as Zeus' son Hercules in the mid-credits scene.

Taika Waititi directed ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ from a script written by him and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. "Thor: Love and Thunder" was released in theaters on July 8, worldwide. The film made over $737 million at the worldwide box office.
