Marvel Studios has released a new & extended trailer for its upcoming animated series, ‘What If… ?,’ which is also the studios' first animated series in the current MCU. The series which will see almost all the MCU characters return will premiere on Disney+ on August 11.

The series will have the returning MCU characters being voiced by the original cast same as in the live-action movies. Jeffrey Wright will be the main character and he will voice, The Watcher in all the episodes - In the trailer, he says, "I am the Watcher. I observe all that transpires here. But I do not, cannot, will not interfere."

The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ What If…? asks the question if one thing changes, what kind of ripple effects would that cause? The first footage in the trailer starts with Tony Stark in Afghanistan before he became Iron Man. Killmonger appears and saves him from a missile coming towards him. This scene is from the first live-action Iron Man movie, which has no Killmonger in it. Similarly, we are seeing many other possibilities like instead of Avengers saving New York City, it is Guardians of the Galaxy saving the day. Peggy Carter will be Captain Carter and there is no Captain America in this universe.

The series features compelling and reimagined famous events from Marvel Cinematic Universe films, resulting in a multiverse of infinite possibilities. Fan favorites such as Peggy Carter, T'Challa, Killmonger, Thor, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Loki, Nick Fury, and others return. The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews and written by AC Bradley, features signature MCU action with an intriguing twist.

Not only the characters mentioned above are returning, but will also see them in a new role like Killmonger become a superhero and Yondu saving people on Earth. And yes, Thanos is also returning maybe as a Victim?

Each of the characters will appear only once in the series (max one episode). After the premiere of the first episode on August 11, the next episodes will arrive weekly on Disney+ every Wednesday. The first season has 10 episodes, and it is already confirmed that the series will return for a second season.
