Netflix has revealed the premiere date and first trailer for Blood & Water season 2. The second season of the English-language South African original series will premiere on September 24 on Netflix, worldwide.


In the second season, we will see  Puleng and Fikile deal with the aftermath of their explosive encounter as more mystery and drama unwinds. The highly anticipated season 2 returning stars include Khosi Ngema, Ama Qamata, Cindy Mahlangu, Thabang Molaba, Natasha Thahane, Arno Greeff, Gail Mabalane, and Dillon Windvogel.


At the time of renewal, Dorothy Ghettuba who leads the Series said, “We are delighted at the joy and excitement that Blood & Water has brought to our global audience. We understand that our viewers had questions, and the answers will be revealed in the second season of Blood & Water. We're even more excited to share our commitment to continue to feature only the best-in-class young adult stories that reflect more young people's lives on screen, especially now that June is Youth Month in South Africa.” 


Returning Showrunner and Director Nosipho Dumisa commented “The success of Blood & Water is a result of the entire team's dedication to taking the African story in a new and exciting direction. Returning to our beloved characters as we delve deeper into the greater mystery and scandals of their world is both a privilege and a blessing. Parkhurst is about to become really messy.”


Gambit Films returned as the production team behind season 2, Executive Producer Bradley Joshua adds “We are humbled and delighted that Season 1 was such a success, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back for an even more thrilling Season 2.”


‘Blood & Water’ is set at Parkhurst College, a prestigious inner-city school for Cape Town’s elite scholars and academic overachievers, we follow the exploits of the intelligent, proactive, and impulsive 16- year-old Puleng Khumalo, who engineered her transfer to the school to investigate the 17-year old cold case of her abducted-at-birth older sister.
