Amazon Studios has released the first trailer for the Sci-fi drama ‘Bliss.’ Written and directed by Mike Cahill, the movie stars Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson in the leading roles. The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 5, worldwide.
The trailer shows Greg (Owen Wilson) caught in a simulation, it closely resembles what we have seen in Amazon's sci-fi series “Upload” combined with the 2012 sci-fi thriller “Chronicle.”
Bliss is a mind-bending love story following Greg (Owen Wilson), who after recently being divorced and then fired, meets the mysterious Isabel (Salma Hayek), a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is just a computer simulation. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel's wild conspiracy.
The official synopsis says, "An unfulfilled man (Owen Wilson) and a mysterious woman (Salma Hayek) believe they are living in a simulated reality, but when their newfound ‘Bliss’ world begins to bleed into the ‘ugly’ world they must decide what’s real and where they truly belong."
The movie also stars Madeline Zima, Nesta Cooper, Nesta Cooper, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Ronny Chieng, DeRon Horton, and Steve Zissis.
Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern is producing, with the company’s Lucas Smith serving as executive producer. Marsha Swinton will also executive produce.
Hayek is repped by CAA, Management 360, and Laird & Sobel; Wilson by UTA, Cahill by WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
