Amazon Prime Video has released trailers for two of its upcoming originals “Utopia” and “Truth Seekers” at [email protected].
The new teaser (watch above) for its long-gestating American adaptation of “Utopia,” imagines the end of the world with snippets of young comic fans who discover that the conspiracy — and beloved protagonist — in a graphic novel (entitled “Utopia”) is real. Its ominous cinematography and editing capture their high-stakes journey to save humanity.
“It is a story about a rogue scientist who created biological warfare,” says an unnamed character in the teaser.
“Utopia” is about a group of young adults, who meet online, get a hold of a cult underground graphic novel, which not only pins them as a target of a shadowy deep state organization, but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world.
The show stars Sasha Lane, John Cusack, Rainn Wilson, Dan Byrd, Ashleigh LaThrop, Jessica Rothe, Desmin Borges, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denham and Cory Michael Smith.
“Utopia” will launch this fall on Amazon.
The second trailer which was released by Amazon Prime Video was a teaser of its upcoming original horror-comedy series “Truth Seekers.”
“Truth Seekers” centers on a pair of paranormal investigators who "take out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel.
Truth Seekers is a supernatural comedy drama series featuring Nick Frost, Samson Kayo, Simon Pegg, and Emma D'Arcy. A group of part-time paranormal investigators team up to uncover a deadly conspiracy.
The show is executive produced by Jim Field Smith, Miles Ketley, James Serafinowicz, Nat Saunders, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Pegg and Frost also star in the show.
There is no confrmed date for arrival of “Truth Seekers” yet.
