‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Gets Disney+ Release Date

Marvel Studios has confirmed the Disney+ release date for 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.' The film which was released last month in theaters will release on June 22 on Disney+, worldwide, without any additional charge to the subscribers.

Marvel also revealed a brand-new spot, in which the cast of the film thanks to the fans for the incredible support shown for the film. Watch above.

Directed by Sam Raimi, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was released in theaters on May 6, 2022. In the film, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its limits further than ever before in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Travel into the unknown with Doctor Strange as he crosses the mind-bending and deadly various realities of the Multiverse with the help of both old and new mystical allies to fight a mysterious new enemy.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ has received mixed reactions from critics and audiences. The film was praised for the visuals and direction of Sam Raimi but slammed for poor writing and character development. The film contains horror elements, which have never been part of any other previous MCU project.

In the film, Benedict Cumberbatch plays Doctor Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as doctor Christine, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo. Elizabeth Olsen returns in the role of Wanda aka Scarlet Witch, Michael Stühlbarg, and Xochitl Gomez.

Doctor Strange 2 has grossed over $879.5 million, worldwide, and it is currently expected to gross a billion before leaving the theaters. The film also did well at the domestic box office, where it has made $376.5 million so far.
