‘Emily in Paris’ Season 2 Officially Wraps Up Filming at Netflix

‘Emily in Paris’ was the most popular comedy series on Netflix in 2020 after getting viewed by more than 58 million subscribers

“Emily in Paris” has officially wrapped up filming on the second season, today in Paris, France (4th Aug). Season 2 started production on May 3rd (as announced by the cast), and took only 3 months to complete a ten-episode second season journey. Like the first season, the entire season 2 was also shot on location in Paris and France.


The show was renewed for season 2, a month after debuting on Netflix. Around 58 million households chose to watch the show in its first 28 days, worldwide, making it the streamer's most popular rom-com series of 2020.


The cast and crew including Lily Collins and director Andrew Fleming shared their excitement on the season 2 wrap via their social media accounts. Jeremy O. Harris, who joined the season 2 cast and portraying a fashion designer shared his excitement by uploading few BTS videos on his Instagram account.


At the end of season 1, we see things seem to be going great for Emily, who has managed to save her job after successfully coordinating a big fashion stunt for Pierre Cadault (Jean-Christophe Bouvet). Sylvie informs Emily that she has withdrawn the termination but she will not be going easy on her in the future. And the love triangle that's been growing between her, Gabriel, and Camille take a new turn with Gabriel's decision to return home to Normandy, which means he and Camille appear to have split up... just in time for Emily and Gabriel to finally give to their attraction. Gabriel and Emily are seen spending the night together. When Antoine teams up with Gabriel to finance his restaurant that also means Gabriel can stay in Paris.


Season 2 will follow soon after the events of season 1 as Emily again finds herself in a complicated situation where she has to confront her friend if she wants to go ahead in a successful relationship. “Emily in Paris” season 2 is likely to arrive in early 2022 or Netflix may surprise us by bringing it in the last quarter of this year.


“Emily in Paris” follows Emily, an ambitious twenty-something marketing professional from Chicago, who wins her dream job in Paris after her employer acquires a French luxury marketing firm. She is in charge of redesigning their social media approach. Emily's new life in Paris is full of exciting adventures and unexpected challenges as she juggles winning over her coworkers, finding new friends, and navigating new romances.


Ashley Park co-stars in the series, which also features Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat, and Bruno Gouery as series regulars. Recurring characters include Kate Walsh, William Abadie, and Arnaud Viard. Star executive produces alongside Jax Media's Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, as well as Andrew Fleming. Collins is a producer. Patricia Field created the costumes. 


MTV Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media are behind the production of Emily in Paris. In addition to Star, Jax Media's Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, as well as Andrew Fleming, serve as executive producers, with Lily Collins also serving as a producer.
