‘I Am Groot’ Season 2 Gets Trailer and Release Date on Disney+

Marvel Studios has revealed the first trailer for the second season of ‘I Am Groot’ today in honor of National Tree Day. ‘I Am Groot’ Season 2 will release on September 6 on Disney+, worldwide, with five original shorts.

The mischievous twig reappears in the second season of "I Am Groot." This time, Baby Groot finds himself exploring the universe and beyond on the Guardians' spacecraft, colliding with new, coming face-to-face—or nose-to-nose—with vivid creatures and surroundings.

Vin Diesel returns as the voice of Groot in five all-new shorts. Kirsten Lepore, writer/director of season one, is back in the same capacity for season two. The supervising producer is Danielle Costa; producers are Craig Rittenbaum and Alex Scharf; executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Kirsten Lepore. Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt is the co-executive producer. 

The recently premiered Secret Invasion has already finished its run on Disney+ and has been rated as the worst Marvel Series Disney+ original. Loki Season 2 will return exactly a month later on October 6 after the premiere of I Am Groot Season 2. The first season of I Am Groot was called funny and creative and it was quite a pleasant break from the ongoing chaos of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
