‘Inventing Anna’ Gets Trailer and Release Date at Netflix

Netflix has revealed an extended trailer (watch above) for the limited series ‘Inventing Anna.’ Produced by Shonda Rhimes, ‘Inventing Anna’ will release on February 11, 2022, on Netflix, worldwide.

The series will follow Anna Delvey. When a journalist with a lot to prove investigates the case of Anna, the Instagram-famous German heiress who stole the hearts and money of New York's social scene. Is Anna New York's biggest con woman, or is she just the new face of the American dream? A dark love-hate bond forms between Anna and the reporter as Anna is awaiting trial and our reporter is fighting the clock to answer the biggest NYC question: who is Anna Delvey? 

Even before its premiere, the 10 episode series is expected to become the most-watched limited series on Netflix. The series certainly seems to have the potential as per its current popularity. Another factor that would add to its success is the producer, Shondaland. Bridgerton is currently the most-watched English-language Netflix series ever. Maid is currently the most-watched limited series on Netflix followed by The Queen's Gambit.

Julia Garner plays Anna Delvey, a young woman in her mid-twenties with a difficult-to-place European accent takes New York by storm. Anna, whether a brilliant businesswoman or a master scammer, inspires loyalty, compassion, contempt, and obsession – all while leaving an emotional body count.

Based on Jessica Pressler's New York Magazine article "How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People," the series stars Julia Garner as Anna Delvey, Anna Chlumsky as Vivian, Katie Lowes as Rachel, Laverne Cox as Kacy Duke, and Alexis Floyd as Neff. David Frankel serves as director and executive producer on two episodes, including the first. Jessica Pressle also serves as a producer. The cast also includes Arian Moayed as Todd, Anders Holm as Jack, Anna Deavere Smith as Maud, Jeff Perry as Lou, Terry Kinney as Barry, and Jennifer Esposito as Talia Mallay.
