Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer (watch above) for its upcoming Big-budget and multi-star movie, “Red Notice.” Starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot, the film will be released on Netflix on November 12, worldwide.
At the beginning of the trailer, Dwayne Johnson says, "I'm Special Agent John Hartley, FBI. I've been tracking your scores for a while. Every city, every heist. Now that you've been tagged with red notices, you've become the world's most wanted criminals. And I'm the only one who can bring you in." Later, John Hartley is seen making a deal with Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to help him catch The Bishop (Gal Gadot) and in exchange, helping Nolan out of whatever international problem he's no doubt engaged in.
The film follows John Hartley (Johnson), a do-good Interpol agent tasked with bringing in the world's most wanted criminals. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley and two rival criminals (Nolan Booth, The Bishop), there’s no telling what will happen.
Alongside Johnson, Reynolds, and Gadot, the cast also includes “The Umbrella Academy” star Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopoulos. Ryan Gosling is also rumored to appear in a cameo.
The film was scheduled to be released in theatres before Netflix purchased it from Universal in 2019. With a reported budget of approximately $200 million, “Red Notice” will be the streamer's most expensive film to date. Upcoming Netflix film, The Gray Man also has a budget of more than $200 million.
Rawson Marshall Thurber of "Skyscraper" and "We're the Millers" directed and wrote "Red Notice," which was produced by Hiram Garcia, Johnson, and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, Beau Flynn's Picture Co., and Thurber's Bad Version, Inc. Scott Sheldon serves as the movie's executive producer.
