James Gunn Reveals Teaser and Entire Cast of ‘The Suicide Squad’ at DC Fandome

James Gunn has revealed the entire cast of The Suicide Squad at DC Fandome 2021. So now we finally know who is playing what. The roll call was revealed in a video that you can watch below. Gunn also revealed an extended behind-the-scenes look at the movie (watch above). Below we are writing the actors and their characters in the film that were revealed today.

 

Several actors are reprising their roles from the 2016 “Suicide Squad” film, including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.

James Gunn, writer, and director of “The Suicide Squad,” virtually assembled his squad at DC FanDome which also includes Idris Elba, Viola Davis, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Pete Davidson, Alice Braga, Nathan Fillion, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Peter Capaldi, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Joaquín Cosío, David Dastmalchian, Steve Agee, Juan Diego Botto, Jennifer Holland, Mayling Ng, and Sean Gunn to run down their roster and debut our first look at the movie.

 

"The Suicide Squad is by far the most fun I've ever had making a movie," Gunn said, revealing he was most excited to write for Harley Quinn but noting he wanted to include "great DC villains," whether they had been part of Task Force X in the comics or not.

 

The film wrapped production before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down, and the film is still on track to open in theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
