John Cusack & Sasha Lane Star in Amazon’s New Trailer for ‘Utopia’

Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming original series “Utopia”. Created by Gillian Flynn, the series will premiere on September 25 at Prime Video.

The new trailer (watch above) for its long-gestating American adaptation of “Utopia,” imagines the end of the world with snippets of young comic fans who discover that the conspiracy — and beloved protagonist — in a graphic novel (entitled “Utopia”) is real. Its ominous cinematography and editing capture their high-stakes journey to save humanity.

The official synopsis says "When the conspiracy in the elusive comic Utopia is real, a group of young fans come together to embark on a high-stakes twisted adventure to use what they uncover to save themselves, each other, and ultimately humanity."

“Utopia” is about a group of young adults, who meet online, get a hold of a cult underground graphic novel, which not only pins them as a target of a shadowy deep state organization but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world.

Earlier, the first teaser of the series was released at the virtual Comic-con event last month. Season 1 will have nine episodes.

The show stars Sasha Lane, John Cusack, Rainn Wilson, Dan Byrd, Ashleigh Lathrop, Jessica Rothe, Desmin Borges, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denham, and Cory Michael Smith.
