Universal Pictures has revealed the first trailer for Horror-thriller Halloween Ends, which release in theaters on October 14, 2022.

After 45 years, the most renowned, beloved horror franchise in film history finds its epic, horrific climax as Laurie Strode faces the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, for the last time in a showdown unlike any captured on film before. Only one of them will make it.

Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) four years after the events of last year's Halloween Kills and is nearing the end of her memoir. Since then, Michael Myers has not been seen. Laurie has resolved to let go of her fear and wrath and embrace life after allowing the ghost of Michael to control and drive her reality for decades. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of murdering a boy he was babysitting, it sets off a chain reaction of violence and fear that forces Laurie to confront the evil she can't control, once and for all.

For the last time, Icon Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode, the first "final girl" in horror and the role that established Curtis' career. Curtis has played Laurie for over four decades, making him one of the longest actor-character partnerships in film history. Halloween busted box office records when it relaunched in 2018, becoming the franchise's highest-grossing chapter and setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.

Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, James Jude Courtney as The Shape, and Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace.

From the creative team that relaunched the franchise, the film is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan (Manglehorn), Chris Bernier (The Driver series), Danny McBride, and David Gordon Green, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Malek Akkad, Jason Blum, and Bill Block are the producers of Halloween Ends. John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ryan Turek, David Gordon Green, Ryan Freimann, Andrew Golov, Thom Zadra, Danny McBride, and Christopher H. Warner serve as executive producers.
