Netflix Announces ‘The Rain’ Season 3 Premiere Date

Netflix has announced the Season 3 premiere date for its Danish Sci-fi, thriller "The Rain ". The Season 3 which is also supposed to be the final season, will arrive on August 6th.

"The Rain " has been one among the most watched non-english series on Netflix. The announcement video released by netflix on its youtube channel shows some behind the scenes, footage and indoor shooting. The cast and crew seem to be emotional on their final day at set.

According to a insider, remaining of the show was completed indoor once the lockdown was imposed but now everything is complete and seasobn 3 is in last stage of post-production or is already complete by now, we can expect the trailer to arrive very soon.

The Rain is about a brutal virus that wipes out most of the population and two young siblings embark on a perilous search for safety.

The world as we know it has ended. Six years after a brutal virus carried by the rain wiped out almost all humans in Scandinavia, two Danish siblings emerge from the safety of their bunker to find all remnants of civilization gone. Soon they join a group of young survivors and together set out on a danger-filled quest through abandoned Scandinavia, searching for any sign of life. Set free from their collective past and societal rules the group has the freedom to be who they want to be. In their struggle for survival, they discover that even in a post-apocalyptic world there's still love, jealousy, coming of age, and many of the problems they thought they'd left behind with the disappearance of the world they once knew.

The show cast includes Alba August, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Lukas Løkken, all are expected to return for final season
