The third season of Hulu's Comedy-mystery series, ‘Only Murders in the Building’ is all set to get into production soon after the new year holidays. The series which is in pre-production for the third season will be filming in New York City.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 3 will begin filming on January 9, 2023, in New York City and will take three months to wrap on April 17, 2023. The third season of the hit series will also have 10 episodes, just like the previous two seasons.
Earlier, Season 3 added Paul Rudd in a regular role as Ben Glenroy after the actor's surprise appearance in a guest role in the second season's finale. Ben Glenroy, the lead actor in Oliver Putnam's Broadway production, dies on stage just as the curtain rises, indicating the start of the show. Ben had a strange contact with Charles-Haden Savage just seconds before that, which was purposefully vague.
Season 3 has also added Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, who will be playing a recurring character of a documentarian with a particular interest in the case that Mabel Mora, Charles Haden-Savage, and Oliver Putnam are working on.
In Season 3, Steve Martin will return as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, and Cara Delevingne as Alice Banks.
In the finale of Season 2, The trio organizes a murderer reveal party in an attempt to persuade Bunny's killer to confess. Becky was exposed as the killer, along with Kreps, who is revealed to be Becky's lover. Both of them get arrested. Their goal was to become famous by doing a podcast about premeditated murder. With the matter closed, Charles gets a legitimate role in the Brazzos reboot and asks out his makeup artist, Joy; Mabel and Alice resume their affair; and Oliver reconciles with his kid, who already knows they are not biologically connected. One year later, on the opening night of a Broadway play directed by Oliver, the principal actor, Ben Glenroy, dies unexpectedly during his performance.
Only Murders in the Building revolves around three strangers, played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, who come together to investigate a death in the apartment building where they all live. The series has gained critical acclaim for its comic approach to crime fiction, as well as the principal actors' performances and chemistry. The series has also received numerous awards, including nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Martin and Short.
The series produced by 20th Television gathered 17 Emmy nominations for season 2 and won three. The series comes from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman, who executive produce along with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal.
