Sci-Fi Comedy ‘Upload’ Season 4 Sets Filming Start Date [Exclusive]

The fourth and final season of the Prime Video series is set to begin filming this August. The complete filming schedule for the sci-fi comedy which was renewed earlier this year for the last outing has been revealed.

‘Upload’ Season 4 will begin filming on August 26, 2024, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will take only a month to officially wrap up on September 27, 2024. This will be the shortest filming duration for any season of Upload as all the previous seasons have taken at least 2-3 months to complete production. However, the end date may change once production begins extending the filming duration. Daina Reid will be returning to direct a few episodes in the fourth season.

The third season of Upload premiered on October 20, 2023, and finished its run with its eighth episode on November 10, 2023. Amazon took more than three months to announce its renewal in March 2024.

In Upload Season 3, Nora and freshly downloaded Nathan navigate their relationship while racing against time to halt the mystery plot that threatens to kill millions of lives. Can they shut down Freeyond and live a normal life together? Is it only a matter of time before Nathan's skull explodes? Meanwhile, in Lakeview, a backup copy of Nathan has been activated, and Ingrid is determined not to pass up this second shot at love. Back in the real world, Aleesha advances up the Horizen ranks by controlling AI education and develops a new love connection. And Luke, alone in Lakeview, is obliged to find the money to pay for his stay in paradise, which leads him to work in The Grey Zone.

In the final episode of the third season, When the two Nates sneak into the Grey Market to reveal Horizen's misdeeds, they are apprehended and incarcerated. In the real world, everyone meets at Nate's mother's apartment to exchange notes before receiving a call from one of the Nates. He claims that the other Nate has been killed, but the season concludes before he can tell which Nate he is and which one was deleted.

UPLOAD stars Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Josh Banday as Ivan, Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy, and Andrea Rosenas as Lucy.

Created by Greg Daniels, who also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein, Upload is a science fiction comedy series set in a futuristic world where hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery shops are the norm. Humans, for the first time, have the option of being "uploaded" into a virtual afterlife.
