Tatiana Maslany is set to play the lead role of the upcoming “She-Hulk” series at Disney Plus. The casting news of Orphan Black star came from the sources of Deadline and later confirmed by Avengers star Mark Ruffalo who plays in Hulk in MCU. However, Tatiana Maslany has not confirmed the news herself, yet.

The series centers on lawyer Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), cousin of Bruce Banner, who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Bruce, She-Hulk was able to keep her intelligence, personality, and emotional control after transforming into the green giant.

It was announced earlier this week that Kat Coiro will be directing few episodes including the pilot of “She-Hulk” and will also executive produce. Jessica Gao is writing the series and serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Maslany is best known for her starring role in the BBC America drama series “Orphan Black,” which ran for five seasons between 2013 and 2017. Maslany was nominated for three Emmys and a Golden Globe during the show’s run, winning the Emmy for best actress in a drama series in 2016.
She recently appeared in the HBO drama “Perry Mason.”

“She-Hulk” is one of several Marvel series in the works at Disney Plus, with several others set to feature characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yesterday, we revealed that “WandaVision” is set to premiere its first episode this Christmas, and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will arrive in March 2021, followed by “Loki.” Read our full report here.

Other Marvel Studios shows like “Hawkeye,” “Ms. Marvel,” and “Moon Knight” live-action adaptations are still in the early stages of development at Disney Plus.
