Netflix has revealed the first trailer for its teenage vampire series, ‘First Kill.’ The horror romance series will drop on Netflix on June 10, worldwide.
The full series, based on Victoria “V. E.” Schwab’s short story of the same name, follows a teenage vampire Juliette ready to make her first kill so she can take her place among a powerful vampire family. She sets her eyes on a new girl in town named Calliope. But much to Juliette's surprise, Calliope is a vampire hunter, from a family of celebrated slayers. Both find that the other won't be so easy to kill and, unfortunately, way too easy to fall for.
The first season has eight episodes of one hour each.
Felicia D. Henderson is the writer, showrunner, and executive producer for First Kill, and creator Victoria “V. E.” Schwab, is also a writer and executive producer for the series. Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss are executive producers through Belletrist Productions.
Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook) seems like a socially awkward introvert to her classmates, but she's actually a vampire — and it's becoming increasingly difficult for her to match her otherworldly desires with her high school obligations. To compound matters further, there's a lovely new student, Calliope (Imani Lewis), with a similar secret: She was born into a vampire-hunting family, and her parents believe she is finally ready to slay her first vampire.
The cast also includes Jonas Dylan Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell, Gracie Dzienny, Will Swenson, Jason R. Moore, Dylan McNamara, Phillip Mullings Jr., Dominic Goodman, Aubin Wise, Joseph D. Reitman, Gail Soltys, Mk Xyz, Walnette Marie Santiago, Roberto Mendez, Mikala Gibson, and Annunziata Gianzero.
