‘The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself’ Gets Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

Netflix has revealed the first trailer and release date for the action-fantasy series, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself. Based on the Half Bad trilogy of books written by Sally Green, The series titled, ‘The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself’ will release on October 28 on Netflix, worldwide.

In the series, Sixteen-year-old Nathan is the illegitimate son of the world's most dreaded witch. He's spent his entire childhood being watched for indicators that he might follow in his father's disastrous footsteps. However, as tensions rise, the old lines between "good" and "evil" blur, and Nathan discover who he truly is. This is an angry, roller-coaster ride of a young adult show about a disturbed youngster with an unbreakable determination to survive and fight the odds. 

Jay Lycurgo (Titans, The Batman, I May Destroy You), Nadia Parkes (Domina, Starstruck), and Emilien Vekemans (Transferts) are leading the cast. They are joined by an exciting mixture of new and familiar faces including Isobel Jesper Jones, Paul Ready (Motherland, The Terror), David Gyasi (Carnival Row, Troy: Fall of a City), Fehinti Balogun (I May Destroy You, Dune), Kerry Fox (Conversations with Friends, Last Tango in Halifax), Liz White (Unforgotten, Brexit: The Uncivil War), Karen Connell (Vikings), Misia Butler (Kiss Me First) as well as multiple Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize nominee Roísín Murphy making her debut in drama.

The series boasts an entirely new score created by British pop group Let’s Eat Grandma, with directors including Colm McCarthy (Black Mirror: Black Museum, The Girl with all the Gifts), Rachna Suri (Mr. Whippy, Our Lad) and Debs Paterson (Willow, Domina).
