Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Hemsworth has teased details about the upcoming movie, admitting that it's "pretty insane".
The Marvel sequel is once again being directed by Ragnarok's Taika Waititi, and the Thor actor admitted that the script he's read is pretty impressive.
"It's one of the best scripts I've read in years," he told The Philadelphia Inquirer in an interview regarding his Netflix movie Extraction.
Hemsworth can’t talk specifics but said the script from Waititi (who recently wrote and directed JoJo Rabbit) is even weirder and wilder than Ragnarok.
“It’s one of the best scripts I’ve read in years. It’s Taika at his most extreme, and at his best. If the version I read is the one we get running with, it’s going to be pretty insane.”
It comes after Waititi himself – alongside stars Tessa Thompson and Mark Ruffalo – teased details about Love and Thunder, the director explaining that they were "four or five drafts in".
"It's one of those ones where I can't wait to do it," he said during an Instagram Live session earlier this month.
"This new film feels like we asked 10-year-olds what should be in a movie, and then we said yes to every single thing. Space sharks, if you know anything about the comics... That's all I'm gonna say... Space sharks."
Thompson also asked whether Korg would get a love interest in the movie, Waititi laughing: "He was deeply in love and lost that love along the line… He doesn't feel brave enough to find love again."
“Chris is so wonderful. He was so excited about Taika’s approach to the material, such a fanboy of Valkyrie, he played a huge part in making everything work,” she said.
When coronavirus is conquered (now that’s a job for the Avengers), that Ragnarok crew is getting the band back together for Love and Thunder — Hemsworth, Thompson, Waititi, Natalie Portman.
