REVIEW:
The director Clark Duke and crew adapted a good-violent crime film based on drug dealers. I have watched Clark Duke act in so many roles and now he made his directional debut. I love any kind of pace slow or fast, and if it's going to be slow then it demands a build-up to keep one engaged. The film was good and yet it could have been better, it needed more impact. The problem with this film was that I got interested in halfway through the story. There was no strong development in the beginning well not a captivating one and it didn't help how familiar this concept felt with Quentin Tarantino's originality. Even though it was familiar it can never be compared because the narrative wasn't a brilliant work of Quentin Tarantino.

The music of Devendra Banhart, Noah Georgeson, and The Flaming Lips suited to this film and it sets the drug dealer atmosphere.

What a great ensemble cast and the actors fit so great in this storyline. Vince Vaughn's vibe is always the same in every one of his movies and I love it. His acting skills are like a way of not caring and he makes it look so good, somehow it fits with his character role every time. John Malkovich and Michael K. Williams are key actors that never disappoint and it is always a pleasure to watch their performances. Lately, Vivica A. Fox, is not making roles that she deserves, and how I missed her. I did like her performance but I wished she had more. She is the kind of actor I love to watch when her character is powerful and this story could have been a great opportunity. Liam Hemsworth has yet to really own a role, his acting skills are good but there is still no spark to make an impression.

Final Score: [6/10]
