Bella Thorne Social Media Crime & Thriller `Infamous` is coming to VOD and Digital

Vertical Entertainment has acquired the North American distribution rights to the Bella Thorne starrer "Infamous". According to Deadline, the distributor has set a virtual cinema and VOD release date of June 12 for the film which was written and directed by Joshua Caldwell.

The deal was negotiated by Peter Jarowey and Josh Spector at Vertical with Arianne Fraser of Highland Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers. Highland is repping foreign sales on Infamous. 

"Infamous (2020)" is a story about Arielle (Bella Thorne), a girl living in a small Florida town and working at a diner which was never her dream life. She's always wanted more. Fame. Popularity. Admiration. When she falls for a recently paroled young criminal named Dean, she drags him back into a life of danger, learning that posting their criminal exploits on social media is an easy way to viral fame. Obsessed with their rising number of followers, they embark on a dangerous adventure together that leads to robbery, cop chases and even murder. Heading to Hollywood, the City of Stars, they will realize what it takes to become famous and have to decide if this dangerous lifestyle is really worth it.

"Infamous" also stars Jake Manley (Midway, A Dog’s Journey), and Amber Riley (Glee, Straight Outta Compton). It is produced by Shaun Sanghani of SSS Entertainment alongside Colin Bates and Michael Jefferson of Lucidity Entertainment and Scott Levenson in association with Vertical Entertainment, Beer Money Worldwide and El Ride Productions. Thor Bradwell is producer. Sanghani also financed Infamous via his financing arm SSS Film Capital.
