Netflix has revealed the first trailer for its animated series “Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight,” which is adapted for the hit movie trilogy, Kung Fu Panda. Jack Black returns to voice Dragon master Po in this new series which will release on July 14 on Netflix, worldwide.

In the series, when a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on a collection of four formidable weapons, Po is forced to leave his home and embark on a globe-trotting adventure for forgiveness and justice, joining up with an exceedingly proper and impatient English knight called Wandering Blade. Together, these two mismatched warriors embark on an epic quest to discover the mystical weapons first and save the world from catastrophe — and they may even learn a thing or two from each other along the way.

The trailer follows Black's Po as he embarks on another journey across China, this time with the Wandering Blade (Rita Ora) to take on a pair of weasels named Klaus and Veruca (Chris Geere and Della Saba, respectively) who want to destroy the planet by collecting a quartet of ancient artifacts endowed with magical powers. “I could save China!” Po exclaims. “That would be the perfect way for me to reclaim my title.”

After appearing in all three "Kung Fu Panda" films, James Hong reprises his voice role as Mr. Ping, a noodle-cooking goose who is Po's adoptive father But this time, Ping appears to be joining in on the action.

Black, Peter Hastings, and Shaunt Nigoghossian serve as executive producers on the series, with Chris Amick and Ben Mekler co-executive producing.

"Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight" is Jack Black's first return to the role of Po since the 2016 film "Kung Fu Panda 3." The trilogy of animated films has generated more than $1.8 billion at the global box office.
