Secret Invasion, the latest Marvel series on Disney+, is nearing its end with only one episode left after the fifth one that aired this Wednesday. The fifth episode, titled "Trust No One", delivers some shocking revelations, thrilling action, and emotional moments that set up the stage for the finale.

The episode begins with Fury and Talos escaping from the White House after saving President Ritson (Dermot Mulroney) from a Skrull assassination attempt. However, they soon realize that Ritson is also a Skrull in disguise and that they have been betrayed by Rhodey (Don Cheadle), who is also a Skrull. Fury and Talos manage to fight their way out of the building, but not before Talos is fatally wounded by Rhodey.

Meanwhile, Priscilla (Charlayne Woodard), Fury's ex-wife and former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, is on the run from Gravik (Christopher Heyerdahl), the leader of the Skrull rebels who wants to kill her for disobeying his orders. She contacts Fury and tells him to meet her at a safe house, where she reveals that she has been working undercover for Talos to expose the Skrull infiltrators. She also tells him that she still loves him and that she regrets leaving him years ago.

Fury and Priscilla are soon attacked by Gravik and his men, who have tracked them down. Fury and Priscilla put up a brave fight, but they are outnumbered and outgunned. Priscilla sacrifices herself to save Fury, who manages to escape with Talos's body. He then contacts G'iah (Aisling Franciosi), Talos's daughter and a Super-Skrull, who tells him to bring Talos to New Skrullos, the Skrull homeworld, where he can be revived.

The episode ends with Fury boarding a spaceship with Talos's body, while G'iah prepares to launch a full-scale attack on Earth in retaliation for her father's death. She vows to wipe out all humans and Skrulls who have betrayed their cause.

Secret Invasion Episode 5 is arguably the best episode of the series so far, as it delivers some major twists and turns that change the course of the story. The episode also explores the themes of trust, loyalty, love, and betrayal that have been central to the show. The performances of Jackson, Mendelsohn, Woodard, and Heyerdahl are outstanding, as they convey the complex emotions and motivations of their characters. The action scenes are well-choreographed and exciting, especially the shootout at the White House and the final confrontation between Fury and Gravik.

The episode also sets up the stage for an epic finale, as it raises several questions that need to be answered. Who are the other Skrulls hiding among us? How will Fury revive Talos? How will he stop G'iah from destroying Earth? Will he reunite with his old friends from the Avengers? Will there be any hope for peace between humans and Skrulls? These are some of the questions that fans will be eagerly waiting to find out in the last episode of Secret Invasion. Secret Invasion Episode 5 delivers a thrilling and emotional ride that will keep them on the edge of their seats.

Final Score - [8.5/10]
