Marvel Studios ‘Secret Invasion’ Will Release in 2023 on Disney Plus [Exclusive]

Disney always keeps every detail regarding any of its projects a secret. Even the premiere dates of the upcoming shows aren't officially revealed until a few weeks before their release.

We are hearing that Marvel Studios ‘Secret Invasion,’ expected to arrive sometime in 2022, has been postponed and will not arrive before 2023. The delay in the series is expected after the Captain Marvel sequel "The Marvels" was postponed to February 2023. Reportedly, both the projects are being kept in sync with each other with "Secret Invasion" expected to arrive just before "The Marvels," which will release on February 17, 2023.

With the Hawkeye finale this Wednesday, Disney Plus seems to be taking a break from the MCU shows until summer 2022. The streamer has already confirmed that Ms. Marvel will premiere in Summer 2022, now we are also hearing that it would be the first MCU series of 2022 on Disney Plus.

Ms. Marvel will be followed by She-Hulk, Moon Knight in late 2022, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special episode during Holidays 2022. "I am Groot" is also set to premiere in 2022, and it will be surprising if it premieres in early 2022.

However, this does not rule out the possibility of new content on Disney Plus in the first half of 2022. "The Book of Boba Fett" will premiere on December 29, with one episode landing every Wednesday leading to the season finale in February 2022. It will be followed by "Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi" in March 2022, ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Season 2, and "Star Wars: Andor."

The highly anticipated third season of "The Mandalorian" also seems to be postponed to 2023. However, we don't have complete confirmation on this.

‘Secret Invasion,’ currently filming in London, is expected to wrap by February 2022. The series leading star Samuel L. Jackson began filming in October this year. The cast also includes Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Emilia Clarke as Abigail Brand, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir as the main villain, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald.
