Disney+ has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Spinoff series, Obi-Wan Kenobi on the occasion of Star Wars day. The limited series, which will have Obi-Wan at the center of its story will release on May 27 on Disney+, worldwide.

The trailer teases the return of Hayden Christensen in the iconic role of evil Sith Lord Darth Vader and gives us the first look at Kumail Nanjiani's character.

The first two episodes of the series will arrive together on Friday, May 27. This also gives breathing time for Disney+ subscribers who can watch Ms. Marvel every Wednesday starting June 8.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The plot of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been still kept under the wraps besides that It begins with Obi-Wan Kenobi who survived Order 66 is watching over Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), and takes the character on a "rollicking adventure." It will also feature Darth Vader, Obi-Wan's former Jedi Padawan, and partner Anakin Skywalker, who fell to the Dark Side and became a Sith Lord.

The series also has a massive star cast, which includes Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi; Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader; Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars; Bonnie Piesse as Beru Lars. The cast also includes Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, Sung Kang, Indira Varma, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Maya Erskine.

Deborah Chow has directed all six episodes based on the screenplay written by Joby Harold. Hannah Friedman and Hossein Amini have also contributed to writing a few episodes in the series.

Hannah Friedman is a consulting producer on all the episodes along with Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Kathleen Kennedy, and Jason McGatlin as executive producers.
